Italian Legislative Decree no.196/2003,
Art. 7 - Right to access of personal data and other rights
Dear Sir/Madam,
We wish to inform you that Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003 (“Personal data protection code”, hereafter “Privacy Code” for short), provides for protection of personal data relating to natural persons and other subjects. According to the Privacy Code, any processing of such data shall be characterised by principles of propriety, legality and transparency set out in order to protect your privacy and rights.
Pursuant to and in accordance with article 13 of the Privacy Code, therefore, we hereby provide you with the following information.
1. The data subject has the right to obtain confirmation of the existence of personal details concerning them, even if not yet recorded, and their communication in an intelligible form.
2. The data subject has the right to obtain details of:
a) The origin of the personal information
b) The purposes and methods of information use
c) The logic applied, where the information is processed with the assistance of electronic instruments
d) The identity of the data controller, data processors/managers and representative designated in accordance with article 5, paragraph 2
e) The entities or categories of entities to whom the personal information may be disclosed or who may receive it in their capacity as designated national representative, data processors/managers or authorized persons
3. The data subject has the right to obtain:
a) The updating and correction of the information or, where applicable, the inclusion of additional information
b) The deletion, transformation into an anonymous form or blocking of data processed in violation of the law including any information no longer required to be kept for the purpose for which it was gathered or subsequently processed
c) Confirmation that the operations referred to in a) and b) and their contents have been notified to the parties to whom the information was disclosed or disseminated, except where fulfilment of this obligation proves to be impossible or involves a use of resources which is manifestly disproportionate to the right being protected
4. The data subject may object, wholly or in part:
a) To the use of their personal information, even if relevant to the purpose for which it was gathered, for legitimate reasons
b) To the use of their personal information in connection with the sending of publicity material, direct selling, or for market research and commercial communications.
